Gianluigi Buffon Record 600th match in Serie A

Juventus goalkeeper, Gianluigi Buffon, record 600th appearance in Serie A when the Bianconeri play face Chievo Verona on Sunday (11/06/2016). This record makes Buffon as the fourth player who penetrates 600 appearances in the competition of the highest caste in Italy.


1995 was a year in which Buffon started his senior career. At 17 years old, born in Carrara's goalkeeper penetrate the Parma senior squad when it is handled Nevio Scala. 21 years have passed and the quality of Buffon as the goalkeeper is not decaying.

Some time ago, Gianlugi Buffon said he would retire from football after the 2018 World Cup, or when he was already 40 years old. Until then, Gigi still has two seasons running to continue his career at the club level. If you can play full until next season, then Buffon could get a title as a player most performing in Serie A.
