Adidas and Nike, Barcelona Threatened Change the shirt

Barcelona, reportedly Sport on Thursday (10/11/2016), threatened with having to replace uniforms 2016-2017 season as the impact of the feud of two companies sportswear, Nike and Adidas.
Barcelona used as the main sponsor Nike. However, Adidas reported objected to the costume design made by companies from the United States was using multiple gradations of vertical lines on the front of the uniform Lionel Messi and his friends.

Adidas claimed Barcelona uniform design has been infringed copyright because it is alleged to have plagiarized their work that is already patented. The pattern is in the form of vertical lines, which is known as a characteristic of the German company.

Adidas reportedly going to take legal action in this case. According to Sport, one of the efforts that will be taken is by visiting the Office of Patents and Copyrights United States (USPTO), as well as to cast a lawsuit against Nike.

Adidas Nike reported considers steps can injure and damage the reputation of their trademarks. If in the end if Adidas won the suit, Nike also would not want to change the costume design for Barcelona this season.

This is not the first time Adidas and Nike involved in a row, both in terms of trade competition and copyright infringement laws. In 2006, Nike had also filed suit against Adidas shoe technology related to NBA star, Kevin Garnet, while still a career with the Minnesota Timberwolves
